A Warmth Desire for Deep Affliction!
A Relationship with Christ
Love is an indescribable feeling; even when you fall in love, you cannot even describe it to others. In the book of songs, it comes in the form of a man and woman who fall in love with one another and describe each other in such detail.
Shulammite
Throughout the eight passages, both Solomon and Shulammite search for one another, given their heartfelt love for each other. In each chapter, they describe each other's appeal and express what makes them beautiful.
“Behold, you are beautiful, my love, behold, you are beautiful! Your eyes are doves behind your veil. Your hair is like a flock of goats leaping down the slopes of Gilead. Your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes that have come up from the washing, all of which bear twins, and not one among them has lost its young.” - Song of Solomon 4:1-2
A Relationship with Christ
When reading this passage from the Bible, we can see it as a relationship with God. Therefore, when we chase after our Heavenly Father for his love and admiration. Not only do we get to see the fruits of the relationship, but we also understand the meaning behind it.
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.” - Song of Solomon 8:6-7
